KG Hypnobirthing works whenever you do it, but ideally I would advise doing the course sometime in the second or early part of your third trimester. This is so you can enjoy the benefits during your pregnancy as well as at the birth of your baby.

Hypnobirthing antenatal preparation courses are not simply learning facts but more a matter of absorbing the information and practising the techniques so that it becomes second nature. There are always benefits from Hypnobirthing!

Your Rushes Hypnobirthing teacher is always there for you. Please (call-hyperlink) or (email-hyperlink) if you feel stressed, are put under pressure, or we can help in any way.

Rushes Hypnobirthing teach our group courses in two formats – a two day course on two consecutive Saturdays or in four shorter sessions on Monday evenings.

We have found both formats to be extremely effective. Both have their pros and cons but there is no research showing one is better than the other. It is simply up to you to choose the format which is most convenient for you.

One to one courses can be adapted according to your needs and preferences but will generally follow a similar structure to the group sessions.

The size of the group classes vary but at Rushes Hypnobirthing we like to keep them small enough to be personal, but large enough to be friendly! It can be lovely to do Hypnobirthing in a group because you can meet other expectant couples, exchange ideas, and learn from their questions.

If you are expecting your first baby you may have the phrase on your lips, ‘What if…..?’. The fears you have are often derived from the dramatic emergencies you have seen on television or the movies. Rushes Hypnobirthing helps to explain the ‘What ifs’ so you can safely leave them to your midwife. Midwives are highly qualified in ‘what ifs’, but you need the knowledge to understand this.

From women who are expecting their second or subsequent baby we often hear the words, ‘If only…’. ‘If only I had known I would have made a different decision’…’If only someone had told me’.. Using KGHypnobirthing saves you from saying ‘if only..’ after this birth and helps you let go of any previous bad experiences so the birth of your next baby can be a wonderful and empowering experience. It is the mothers who have experienced birth already who can really see the true difference Hypnobirthing makes as they have experienced the difference!

They don’t have to but will be very glad if they did! Most birth partners arrive at the course utterly sceptical and leave extremely enthusiastic! We don’t just expect anyone to believe in Hypnobirthing; why should you? We do however ask you to listen to the facts, physiology and logic so you understand how important it is and the huge difference your role as a birth companion can make.

A Hypnobirthing birth partner really is an essential part of the birth. They have an important role to play supporting the mother as she gives birth. They have practised together before the birth and so they know they have played an important part in how their baby entered the world. This deepens their relationship and also their relationship with the baby.
